Carbon Filters

This can happen when your filter is saturated with water. This is commonly caused by running your filter in an environment with high humidity.

Filters need to be replaced every 2 years, as they become soiled with pollution.

Yes, a carbon filter can be dried. Put the filter in a warm environment with low humidity, draw air through the filter with a duct fan. This might take several days.

This is sometimes caused by a dirty pre-filter. The pre-filter will look dark in colour. Some pre-filters can be washed in warm water to remove dust and surface dirt Alternatively you can change your pre-filter for a new one.

Fans

All AC fans can hum and buzz at low speeds if you are using a Triac controller. If you continue to run the fan whilst it is humming or buzzing it is likely that the fan will incur permanent damage.

If the fan is noisy at full speed, it could indicate the bearings have worn out. Sometimes when the fan is off you can feel play in the impellor.

Test the fan in different sockets to see if the issue is with your controller, if the fan works at full speed the controller is broken.

Connect your fan directly to the mains power, and to a controller via an EC cable. Ensure your controller is not an AC fan controller. Your fan should be operational.
If the fan still doesn’t work, return it to your retailer.

Controllers

The sensor on the Enviro Controller can replaced. If you bought the controller from a store (end users), please take it back to the store to arrange a solution.

This could be because the humidity setting on your controller is too low. The controller assumes that any air being brought in is less humid, and is attempting to get the humidity below this setting. Simply increase the humidity setting and the controller will perform as normal.

This issue is often caused by having the wrong EC cable. Most EC controllers from Global Air Supplies are active and get power from the fan. All EC cables need to have white ends to carry the active signal.

You could also try using a different mains socket for the fan.

Lighting

The most common reason is the lamp has failed, try a replacement lamp.

These fixtures need a signal to turn on. They all come with a dummy RJ connector that can be used to test the fixture. If the fixture starts with the dummy connector there could be a signal cable error or an issue with the controller.

If the RJ dummy is fitted and the fixtures still don’t work try another mains power supply.

Gavita Controllers

This is caused by using a non-standard power supply, use the original. We sell power supplies for the Gavita controller.

SonicAir Pro Humidifiers

This is often caused by users connecting the unit to mains water supplies. It must be connected to a water butt. Mains water pressure will damage the float vale.

It is possible to have the unit repaired at Global Air Supplies.

Aqua Master

The Aquamaster P50, E50 and P110 probes have replaceable probes that are available from Global Air Supplies.

Aquamaster results are very reliable. If you feel that you are getting incorrect results, ensure your probe has been calibrated. Calibration fluid is available from Global Air Supplies.

If calibration doesn’t work, replace the probe.
