What Is It?

The Rhino Hobby 30 is the small but powerful alternative to the Rhino Pro air filter range. Its size makes it a perfect fit for novices, growers with a smaller crop, or the occasional grower that does not need to fork out for larger equipment.

The Rhino Hobby 30 filter is made from the same high-quality aluminium as its larger counterparts. The body is designed to be lighter to accommodate for quicker installation and dismantling as required. The exterior is wrapped with 51% open area mesh, contributing to even airflow across the carbon bed. Internally, the 30mm bed holds virgin Australian RC4-12 activated carbon for absorbing and neutralising environmental contaminants. This type of carbon is used across Rhino’s entire air filter range due to its high quality and porosity. It’s believed to be the world’s best carbon for air filtration.

The science behind this filter’s design goes beyond its carbon bed. The filter’s cylindrical body ensures that the grow room’s extracted air cannot flow through the filter without contacting the carbon. This makes it impossible for any volatile organic compounds in the grow room to be missed.

The carbon is machine packed to ensure each filter has more carbon and less movement, meaning less density loss over time. This design ensures that every carbon grain is exposed to the grow room’s environment to reduce the irregular build-up of airborne contaminants in the carbon bed. If build-up does occur towards the end of the filter’s lifespan, it can be easily rectified with the fully reversible neck, swappable base, and duct-coupler. By connecting the neck, base, and duct-coupler to the opposite end, you will get the most out of the filter’s 9–12-month lifespan.
