Precision dehumidification for indoor growing

The AC Infinity Hydrone 5 is a compact grow room dehumidifier developed to provide much finer control over moisture removal than conventional on/off dehumidifiers.

Its 10 individual drying levels allow growers to adjust dehumidification output according to the conditions within their growing environment, providing greater control over relative humidity and VPD.

Built-in environmental control

The Hydrone 5 features a built-in controller and external environmental sensor, allowing it to provide automated humidity management without requiring a separate environmental controller.

Growers can configure the dehumidifier to operate according to:

• VPD
• Schedules
• Cycles
• On and off times

This makes the Hydrone 5 a capable standalone environmental control product rather than simply a dehumidifier that needs to be connected to the wider UIS ecosystem before automation becomes available.

Ten drying levels

Instead of simply switching between full output and off, the Hydrone 5 provides 10 levels of dehumidification.

This allows drying performance to be fine-tuned to the grow room, providing greater control over moisture removal as environmental conditions change.

Managing humidity when temperatures fall

Dehumidification can become particularly useful when grow room temperatures decrease.

When the lights switch off and temperatures fall, the air’s capacity to hold moisture also decreases. Relative humidity can consequently rise, potentially resulting in condensation.

Removing excess moisture during these periods can help:

• Reduce condensation
• Reduce the risk of mould and mildew
• Protect grow room equipment from excess moisture
• Maintain more appropriate humidity and VPD conditions
• Flexible installation

The Hydrone Series has been designed for flexible installation and does not have to occupy valuable floor space inside the growing environment.

Its dual-port ducting design allows the Hydrone 5 to be positioned inside or outside the grow room, with air ducted as required.

The unit also includes a 2 L condensate tank and a drain connection for continuous water removal.

UIS compatibility

The Hydrone 5 can also be incorporated into the AC Infinity UIS ecosystem for wider grow room automation.

When integrated with compatible UIS equipment, dehumidification can work alongside ventilation, heating, humidification and air movement as part of a coordinated environmental control system.
