Plant Magic – 60/40 Supreme
Plant Magic – 64/40 Supreme contains an unrivalled mix of premium quality natural ingredients. Consisting of 60% clay pebbles and 40% coco, Plant Magic 60/40 has all the basic ingredients your plants need to thrive. The combination of clay pebbles and coco makes this growing media perfect for use in flood and drain systems. This is because its ingredients promote water and nutrient retention after the reservoir is flooded and allows for aeration of the rootzone once drained.
Plant Magic created the brand-new 60/40 Supreme because coconut husk (coco) is an inert natural product. This means it does not contain any of the natural plant pathogens or contaminants which can throw off a plant’s nutritional uptake or damage the root network. The fibrous consistency of coco produces a unique air to water ratio around the root network, resulting in healthier, more explosive growth.
Like the Plant Magic 70/30, 60/40 Supreme contains coconut husk sourced from India’s largest producer of premium grade coir. The coir is buffered with a calcium-magnesium solution to remove excess salts and improve its water and nutrient retention. With its low EC, buffered coir provides growers with complete control over the nutrient content of their plant growing environment. When using a coco-based substrate, growers need to add all the nutrients that are vital to plant health. Plant Magic 60/40 Supreme allows for greater control over the type of nutrients growers add to their plants’ environment and precise measurements.
The chemically inert clay pebbles give the substrate exceptional water drainage properties. When combined with coir, the clay pebbles create the perfect balance of water and air retention in the rootzone. This combination of clay pebbles and coir prevents nutrient lockout caused by oversaturation of the substrate. These pebbles therefore make Plant Magic 60/40 a strong choice for growers using flood and drain systems.
Plant Magic 60/40 Supreme also contains natural quantities of the Trichoderma fungus. This genus of fungi, naturally occurring in all soils, colonise the rootzone and have a symbiotic relationship with plants. Trichoderma promote plant growth by destroying pathogens, such as plant-harming fungi. It uses enzymes to degrade harmful fungus types and outcompete pathogens for space and nutrients in the growing media.
