Origin Systems – Tanks
The Origin Systems’ Tanks holds between 30 and 180 litres of nutrient solution – depending on which size Origin you choose, so there’s no need to visit your plants every day.
Choose Origin and you can get on with your life safe in the knowledge that your plants are thriving.
ORIGIN DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEMS
The fuss-free feeding, high-yielding, drip-feed system. It’s easy to see how Origin is the UK’s most popular watering system.
How it works
Origin uses a timer to drip nutrient solution into the tops of the system’s pots at the same times every day, several times per day.
Any run-off drains back into the tank so roots don’t rot. During the feeding cycle, the pump will oxygenate the nutrient solution and any run-off will be drained back to the tank, leading to a healthier root zone.
Benefits of the Origin system
Bigger yields – automatic watering allows the plant to take up the perfect ratio of water and nutrients as they are fed little and often. This enhances the plant’s oxygen intake and results in healthier plants that produce larger yields.
Easy-to-use – you can set-up an Origin system in around 30 minutes, it’s the easiest system on the market to set-up and run.
Low maintenance – once set-up, all you need to do is set the timer and you’re done. Your plants will be drip fed to your set feeding duration, so you know they’ll be thriving.
Flexibility – you can use a range of different set-ups with an Origin, with 6L, 11L, 18L and 25L pot sizes and systems available to accommodate anywhere from 4 to 20 plants. The Origin can be used with a range of media, including soil, clay pebbles and mixed media; we’ve also got the Origin Duo Slab option for stonewool and coco slabs.
Quality – all our units are hand-finished, individually inspected on completion and made mostly from recycled plastics. They’re strong, sturdy and built to last, and they’re all made in our UK-based manufacturing plant.
Growers Tips
Use House & Garden Drip Clean
Using a cleaning product like this helps to prevent dripper blockage, see page 135.
Use the correct dripper
- Clay pebbles = blue flood drippers. Flow rate = 40L/hour
- Soil, coco, mixed media and grow cubes = black arrow drippers. Flow rate = 2L/hour
Let the system do the mixing
After a nutrient change open the tap on the system and manually switch the pump on for a couple of minutes. This will mix the nutrient solution ensuring everything is evenly distributed.
