AC Infinity Water Sensor – For use with AI+ Controller
Detect the presence or absence of water
The AC Infinity Water Sensor is designed for use with the Controller AI+ and detects whether water is present at the position of the sensor.
Its purpose is straightforward: it tells the controller whether the sensor is currently in contact with water.
This makes it particularly useful for monitoring:
- Nutrient reservoirs
- Irrigation tanks
- Hydroponic reservoirs
- Water storage systems
- Other grow room tanks
- Monitor minimum reservoir levels
- Leak detection
The sensor can be positioned inside a tank at the minimum water level the grower wants to maintain.
While water remains above the sensor, its presence is detected. If the level falls below the position of the sensor, the Controller AI+ recognises that water is no longer present.
This provides a simple way to identify when a tank or reservoir requires attention.
App monitoring and alerts
When connected to the Controller AI+, the status of the Water Sensor can be monitored through the AC Infinity app.
Notifications can alert the grower when the water condition changes, making it easier to identify when a reservoir has fallen below the required level without repeatedly checking it manually.
This can be particularly useful in automated irrigation systems where a low reservoir could otherwise go unnoticed.
Water-based automation
Connecting the Water Sensor enables Water Mode on the Controller AI+.
The presence or absence of water can then be used as a condition for operating compatible equipment connected to the controller.
This allows the Water Sensor to form part of an automated water-management strategy rather than acting solely as a monitoring device.
Part of the AI+ sensor system
Water status can be viewed alongside information from other sensors connected to the Controller AI+, allowing growers to bring water monitoring into the same platform used to manage the wider grow room environment.
